Dermal Fillers are applied through a series of small injections. Much like a gentle pin prick, most people find them perfectly comfortable. Some areas of the face are more sensitive than others (like the lips which contain many nerve endings), and therefore we would recommend the use of a topical numbing cream to soothe the area and mitigate any discomfort.
As with any injectable treatment, there is a possibility of some minor side effects. Most commonly, these may include: bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, itching and sensitivity at the point of application. Any potential side effects will be discussed during a pre-treatment consultation.
Depending on the area being treated, the expected result will differ. Usually, dermal fillers are used to lessen the effects of ageing, therefore, you can expect to look fresh and rejuvenated with a beautiful plumpness to the skin that is typical of a youthful complexion.
